What do we need to do in order to participate in the CHRS Student Research Fellow program?

You must currently be a member of the Center for HR Strategy. There are two ways you can become a CHRS Corporate Member:

  • 1. Nomination by a member of the CHRS Board of Advisors or a Rutgers HR faculty member.
  • 2. Self-nomination in a letter directed to CHRS Director Paula Caligiuri, caligiuri@smlr.rutgers.edu.
How do we choose a CHRS Student Research Fellow to work with our company?

You will have the ability to review candidate applications online, selecting from a pool of pre-screened top applicants from the MHRM graduate program.

Are CHRS Student Research Fellows paid for their work with us?

The CHRS Student Research Fellows are not paid by the sponsoring CHRS member companies, but do receive course credit for their work.

Can we hire a CHRS Student Research Fellow after he or she graduates from Rutgers?

Yes, of course. In fact, many companies view this as a wonderful opportunity to see the student's work product before extending an offer.
